The HR Assistant is responsible of a variety of responsibilities and special projects as assigned. Provides information and assistance to employees, supervisors, managers, directors regarding policies, procedures; responds to routine questions or complaints; initiates problem resolution. Makes presentations, and conducts trainings as needed. Position serves as acting point person during Sr. Director’s absence. Duties include special reports, maintaining personnel records, reporting required certification expirations, handling unemployment disputes. This role is also responsible for processing staff requisitions and PAN’s, preparing Open Requisition and Job Openings Reports, completion of EEO-1 and AAP Reports, verification of employment and preparation and distribution of staff service awards and revising job descriptions as requested. Routinely deals with highly sensitive and confidential matters.
