    This Vocational Skills Trainer position is for our developmental disabilities residential program in Union County. The Vocational Skills Trainer will provide on-site direct behavioral health care to the agency's adult consumers. 


    • Responsible for providing daily structure and coverage in the Progressive Achievement Center (PAC) which include but are not limited to daily living skills, life skills, health issues, exercise issues, behavior management, and medication management
    • Perform therapeutic intervention teaching, Individual Habilitation Plan development, and documentation in an employment and/or vocational setting for the developmentally disabled consumers, some of whom may have a mental illness and/or physical or medical disability
    • Provide individualized teaching to adults in the skill areas of employment, socialization, community living, leisure, and personal awareness under the supervision of the Program Supervisor of PAC
    • Participate in the collection and analysis of training and vocational data
    • Act as liaison and advocate for community resources
    • Ensure that services are rendered in accordance with SERV Achievement Center’s mission statement
    • Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment while adhering to all safety standards, government regulations, and corporate policies


    • High School diploma required
    • Bachelor’s degree preferred in the areas of psychology, social work, and special education
    • Must have a valid driver’s license in state of residence with no suspensions or moving violations in the past year, and no more than 6 points on driving record
    • Must be at least 18 years old
    • Must be able to successfully complete a physical, drug screen and background check
