Leasing Assistant


SERV, a well-established leader in behavioral healthcare in NJ, provides a wide range of quality residential and support services.  We are in need of compassionate and caring individuals who would like to support our consumers in achieving greater independence and life satisfaction.


  • The Leasing Assistant reports into the Senior Facilities Coordinator and is part of the Properties and Management Group
  • Assist the Facilities Coordinator with the preparation of leases and necessary paperwork for initial certification and recertification of residents
  • Enter leasing payments and receivables and tenant information into RealPage, which is the properties and management software
  • Run monthly resident ledgers and research any tenant issues
  • Maintain Supportive Housing Connection resident leases and files
  • Also assist the Coordinator in ensuring that all corporate facilities comply with all company policies, local, state laws and regulations
  • Learn and understand the basic principles of the NJ Anti-Discrimination Law, Federal Law and Federal Fair Housing Act as they:
    • Apply to community residences for the mentally ill and the developmentally disadvantaged. Assist the Coordinator in performing other duties as assigned
  • Attend job-related training, meetings and conferences on an as-needed basis


  • High School Diploma/GED with 2 years of administrative experience
  • Attention to detail and good organization and customer service skills are required.
  • Experience with RealPage property management system or similar software is highly preferred
  • Willing to learn and demonstrate competency in New Jersey Real Estate Laws and all other applicable Federal, State, and Local regulations regarding facilities
  • Intermediate- to Advanced-level skills in MS Excel and Word
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence and no more than 5 points on driving record
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Must be able to successfully complete a physical, drug screen and background check
