    Maintenance Worker-Mercer County, NJ

    We are seeking a Maintenance Worker in Mercer County. As a Maintenance worker, you must be flexible and available on an as needed basis for emergencies. You will assess and perform quality work on a priority basis to maintain the safety and function of all facilities, equipment, and vehicles within the assigned project.


    • General duties include electrical work, painting, carpentry, vehicle maintenance, light plumbing, ground maintenance, interior and exterior cleaning of facilities, cleaning and washing of vehicles, lifting and moving furniture, meeting delivery and service contractors, and purchasing maintenance supplies
    • Make independent assessments for repair and maintenance needs while assisting and following directives of the Facility Manager
    • Respond to facility emergencies as an on-call personnel
    • Complete work order, mileage sheets, invoices, time sheets, and other paperwork in a timely fashion
    • Handle petty cash responsibly and turn in receipt and change appropriately
    • Communicate clearly as to issues, problems, daily schedules, and assessment of need for additional help or outside contractor for projects.


    • High School Diploma or G.E.D required
    • Vocational school or technical training in maintenance and repair or construction trade preferred
    • Must have knowledge and experience in general maintenance and repair
    • Must have experience in maintenance and general contracting including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and operation of power and hand tools
    • Must have a valid driver’s license in state of residence with no suspensions or moving violations in the past year, and no more than 6 points on driving record
    • Must be able to successfully complete a physical, drug screen and background check
